Your mission
As an IT system administrator, you are the heart of the company. You empower all teams to excel in what they do. You’re responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing all of our software, hardware, and networks. You are one of the owners responsible for all IT-related matters in the company. 
 
Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.  
 
Your goal is to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. This includes provisioning or repairing user hardware, on-and off boardings, office IT infrastructure but also physical events. You will work with all sorts of equipment, be that virtual or physical.
What you’ll be doing
  • Manage all of our SaaS applications, device management software, Azure environment (including Office365).
  • Design and execute a smoothless on-and offboarding experience.
  • Assist in performing company-wide events. (Teams, audio/video/visual, …)
  • Be the Point-of-Contact and wizard for all software or hardware related questions.
  • Install and configure software and hardware, preferably in an automated way.
  • Manage networks, servers and technology tools.
  • Set up accounts and workstations, preferably in an automated way.
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages, including automated alerts and user support tickets.
  • Provide physical presence in one of our offices for end-user troubleshooting.
  • Ensure maximum security through various access controls, backups, and system hardening.
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
  • Execute projects with skill and control to prevent impact.
  • Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
What you’ll bring
  • Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator (“sysadmin”) or similar role
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Ability to create scripts in Bash or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms. (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS)
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Potentially a BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.
