Cybersecurity Technical Writer

Your mission
The Cybersecurity Technical Writer will be responsible for creating strategy plans, manuals, educational content and other assets that speak the technical language of our customers. They will be a subject matter expert in cybersecurity, able to position Intigriti as the market leader, demonstrating we understand the finer details of their problems and needs and how Intigriti is best placed to solve them.
What you’ll be doing
  • Create actionable plans to implement effective cyber security strategies to defend against an evolving threat landscape including preparation for cyberattacks, responses to cyberattacks and recovery from cyberattacks.
  • Research the various attack vectors that are used in notable breaches across industries and map them to actionable insights and relevant content for marketing and sales.
  • Understand the attack surface through which hackers can penetrate organizations and how these initial entry vectors may be changing due to technological advances.
  • Translate attack types and their business impact (malware, phishing, web and mobile app vulnerabilities, DDoS, code injection attacks, supply chain attacks, etc.).
  • Highlight key threat actor groups, their tactics, motivations and how organizations need to defend against them.
  • Collect and synthesize data from internal PowerBI tool to create reports on vulnerability trends and insights.
  • Conduct in-depth research on market trends and emerging threats to amplify content, including incident response learnings and guidance.
  • Produce articles, case studies, blogs, white papers, and presentations on the latest cybersecurity incidents, threats, trends, and techniques.
  • Acquire information from intelligence communities, threat intelligence platforms, open-source data repositories and various sources to analyze Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
  • Demonstrate practical expertise in handling threat data and producing content that provides actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with Community team to interview our Ethical Hackers to stay up-to-date on common vulnerabilities and tactics used.
  • Bridge the gap between an exploit and the impact it could have on a business.
  • Create, edit and maintain existing compliance and regulation documentation.
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics in a monthly report to refine Intigriti’s content strategy and generate improvements to better support wider business goals.
What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (preferably cybersecurity or computer science)
  • 5+ years' industry experience as an effective technical writer.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant cybersecurity frameworks including MITRE, STRIDE threat modeling, and BSIMM.
  • Prior experience in vulnerability management is a plus.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a mastery of complex cybersecurity topics.
  • Deep understanding of our audience to support detailed content creation.
  • Analytical skills - ability to interpret data to make decisions for improvements and to provide actionable insights from data.
  • Ability to balance long-term goals with tactical, short-term efforts.
