Security Analyst Team Lead

Your mission
As Security Analyst Team Lead, you will be an integral part of overseeing incoming security vulnerability reports from our researchers' community.  You will be leading and supporting a team of enthusiastic Security Analysts, fostering their continuous development to ensure we are offering the best possible service to both companies and our community of researchers.  

We offer hybrid working, spending a minimum of 2 days per week in our Antwerp office. 

What you’ll be doing
Leadership and Mentorship: 
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the triage team, providing guidance and support to ensure they excel in their roles and contribute effectively to the organization's objectives. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professionalism within the triage team. 
Oversee incoming security vulnerability reports:
  • Research, POC and evaluate reports that come in through our platform (making sure they’re unique, concrete and actionable for our clients). 
  • Assess the severity of reported issues in relation to how they can disrupt business, including the financial and managerial implications. 
  • Familiarity with and ability to calculate CVSS ratings. 
  • Provide remediation advice and help customers make the most value out of received reports. 
  • Stay updated on the latest malware and security threats.
Security Assessment Strategy: 
  • Define and implement robust severity assessment frameworks to efficiently and effectively validate incoming submissions while focusing on consistency and reliability across the board. 
  • Implement mediation processes that focus on impartiality towards the community members, customers and other triage members.  
Representation and Collaboration: 
  • Act as the primary representative of the triage function in internal discussions, customer calls, and external engagements, effectively communicating the team's contributions and insights. 
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product development, and customer success to ensure alignment and integration of security assessment processes and priorities. 
Overseeing the Triage Cycle:  
  • Oversee the entire triage cycle, from initial submission validation to reporting and resolution, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.  
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the triage team, providing regular reports and insights to drive performance and identify areas for improvement.  
Scaling and Flexibility:  
  • Ensure the triage team scales effectively to handle increased submission volumes while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency and adhering to SLA’s.  
  • Foster flexibility within the team to respond to dynamic requirements, including live hacking events and urgent security assessments.  
Training and Skill Development:  
  • Provide coaching and guidance to triage and mediation analysts on technical aspects, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.  
  • Develop training programs and resources focused on enhancing the team's communication skills, active listening, and conflict resolution abilities. 
Community Engagement:  
  • Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, including security researchers, white-hat hackers, and industry experts, to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.  
  • Actively engage with the community team and the security researcher community, demonstrating a commitment to delivering a personalized and supportive triage and mediation experience.
What you’ll bring
  • Knowledge: a deep understanding about cybersecurity vulnerability, assessment and disclosure frameworks (CVSS, MITRE, OWASP, ...) and technical risks and threats across industries 
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a technical leadership position 
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in vulnerability management or testing 
  • Fluent English proficiency 
  • Engagement within the bug bounty or responsible disclosure scene is a plus 
  • Certifications are a plus
